Dr. Kassett provides child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. When seeing children and adolescents, collaboration with parents is essential. The frequency of sessions and the intensity of parent work varies from family to family, with recommendations made only after careful evaluation.

Many individuals seeking treatment have some familiarity with the process of psychotherapy, because of prior treatment or knowing of others who have sought treatment. Fewer individuals, however, are familiar with psychoanalysis. The American Psychoanalytic Association has published two brochures-one for adults and one for children-that describe what psychoanalysis is and its benefits (see links below). Although analysis is not a treatment modality for everyone, Dr. Kassett can offer this form of intensive therapy to children, adolescents and adults, if recommended upon evaluation.

At the time of service, Dr. Kassett will provide an Information Disclosure Statement that outlines specifics about her clinical practice policies.
